Polynesian Wellness From The Root.

WHO WE ARE

VUA (noun)

/'voo-ah/

Derived from the Fijian language of the Lau Region.

Vua means “the net that gathers love, abundance, and prosperity — to be passed on to others.”

It embodies the belief that wellness multiplies when shared; that what we cultivate in ourselves overflows to those around us.

FOUNDER STORY

Since childhood, Vua Beauty founder Marie Tangitau has lived with eczema — manageable but always there. When life’s changes and the stress of the pandemic triggered her worst flare-up yet, nothing worked. In desperation, she turned to her mother, who shared a long-held family remedy — her grandmother’s Enga tonic, a traditional Polynesian blend of turmeric, ginger, and other healing ingredients. Within days, Marie’s skin began to heal, and she felt at ease in her body again.

That moment sparked Vua Beauty — born from Polynesian healing traditions and a belief that wellness should be real, inclusive, and rooted in culture and community.

OUR MISSION

Vua Beauty is redefining wellness — making it real, rooted, and for everyone.

Inspired by Polynesian healing traditions, we blend ancestral remedies with modern science to support the skin, body, and spirit.

We believe wellness should be shared, not exclusive. Through our products and storytelling, we celebrate Pacific Islander culture, uplift our community, and invite everyone to experience wellness that feels inclusive, familiar, and lived.
